Massacred by Twisted Logic

from eddobloggo.com
Step away from Fort Hood, the military, the administration and politics.  Remove those elements from the equation for a moment.

I
magine instead that a massacre of the same magnitude had been perpetrated by an employee at the offices of a business.  Hypothetically, a large corporation like IBM or GE that is based in the USA and has installations around the world; a company that employs every conceivable type of hyphenated-American.

Now apply the same information that has, thus far, been gathered about the Fort Hood shooter and combine it with what corporate security and the FBI may have known about the hypothetical employee prior to his commission of these murders.

Keep in mind that there was not a single person in the room at the time of the shooting that had ever been in direct conflict with the subject.  Remember that the psychos who "go postal" at schools and workplaces are usually eager to justify their behavior with a litany of perceived personal offenses committed by peers and/or superiors written into their suicide notes or related in post-capture statements.  There is no such evidence in this case.

Based on the available evidence, including the shooter's cry of "Allahu akbar" during the massacre, would it not be logical to assume that our hypothetical perp has committed an act of jihadist terrorism?

In eulogizing the fallen at Fort Hood the president blamed "twisted logic" for the killing of 13 men and women. Despite reading from his teleprompter that "there is no faith that justifies [this] murderous and craven [act]" and that the shooter will ultimately "meet justice in this world and the next," Obama refuses to "jump to the conclusion" that the shooter's motive is tantamount to radical Islamist jihadism, implying that it may merely be the result of anti-Muslim hate speech and/or a paranoiac mental illness.

Of course, progressives have a socialistic need to preserve multi-culturalism and the multi-victimism it has spawned.  When everyone is a victim the government can grow to be everyone's comforter.  This is accomplished, in large part, through the use of a powerful hallucinogen with the street name PC.

Political Correctness will always play a major roll in the left's denial of terrorism, even when its manifestation is black-and-white obvious to the un-drugged. Nonetheless, in addition to its ongoing leftist PC stance, this administration actually has a rational, pragmatic reason for its denial of the extremely clear logic behind the Fort Hood shooter's actions.

Calling the Fort Hood Massacre anything but an incident born of some twisted logic would validate the previous administration's claim that the events of September 11, 2001 thrust our nation into a war with jihadists a/k/a Islamo-fascist terrorists. Further, it would serve to prove that this war must be fought just as fiercely here in the homeland as it should be fought abroad.

It would also prove that, as a result of a PC overdose and the failure to properly use the intelligence-gathering methodologies created to help provide post-9/11 homeland security, we have become as insecure in our homes, workplaces and public buildings as are the citizens of Spain, India, the UK, Pakistan and Iraq, to name a few recently terrorized nations.

It would indicate, if not prove, that in the last year we have become even more vulnerable than we were on September 10, 2001, when an act of Islamist  terrorism committed by a member of the US Army on a domestic US Army base would have been just as unthinkable as the possibility of mass murder by high-jacked aircraft.

If there is twisted logic in play as a result of the Fort Hood Massacre it is made abundantly clear by the thought process which concludes that endlessly apologizing for past political incorrectness, protecting multi-culturalism ahead of homeland security and refusing to call a terrorist a terrorist has made -- or could ever make -- a positive change in America.

Who needs a Fairness Doctrine...

...when you know Obama can just appoint a V-chip Czar and try to tax rich Conservatives out of the media eddobloggo - Ed Donath Conservative Blog business.

from eddobloggo.com
At very least, and
In keeping with their Marxist model, a tax or penalty could be assessed against local cable providers who wish to retain what the administration considers to be offensive networks. The cost of such penalties would be passed along to consumers who might then be forced to think twice about watching so much of un-American FOX versus its competitors who so unswervingly toe the patriotic administration line.

However,  it could end up being a lot more difficult than White House thugs believe to silence the powerful voices heard on high-wattage AM radio stations.  Aggressive jamming of radio signals, as was done continuously behind the Iron Curtain, would eventually put a forced end to talk radio as we know it, forcing relentless critics of the administration to develop an underground alternative to their current on-air activity.

Rather than being silenced and outfoxed the alternative would, perhaps, look something like this...

"Welcome back, conversationalists from across the fruited plain, from that loooooong commercial break.  Thanks for listening to Radio Free America today and thanks to all of our long-time sponsors for hanging with us during transition.

Boy am I glad the NFL wouldn't take my money.  Shortly after that politically correct reverse discrimination episode I turned around and used some of it to purchase this surplus nuclear submarine from France.

Our pirate broadcast vessel has been outfitted with state-of-the-art studios and a 500,000 watt transmitter.  I'm ready to take on libs with half my brain and a Polaris tied behind my back -- just kidding about the missile, folks.  Not only is our nukesub recycled, it's carbon footprint-neutral and not subject, therefore, to Cap and Tax.

Which is not to say that the Holder can't nail us on any number of other beefs that go along with un-licensed cruising of the high seas and pirate broadcasting.  But they've got to find us first and then risk a nuclear accident which would prove to the world that they'll go to any length to promote their dictatorial anti-Constitutional agenda.  So full speed ahead Snerdley!

Our Conservative Underground -- make that Conservative Underwater -- can be heard clearly in at least 48 states and dozens of foreign nations at any given time depending, of course, upon the global coordinate location and weather conditions of that day's broadcast.

Today's Rush Limbaugh commentary programming will be followed by hard news from the mainland on streaming video.  Glenn Beck has the latest installment of his health care cost analysis story and some breaking news about GE's collusion with the administration.  Later, Sean Hannity will present yet another ACORNgate video and will tell you which White House czar leaked the rumor about Hugo Chavez offering to work as a media consultant to the Obama administration for a dollar a year.

Then it's back to commentary as John Gibson is piped aboard to man the the Golden EIB Microphone watch overnight while I enjoy an adult beverage and some well-deserved hammock time..."

Far-fetched? Extreme?  Ridiculous?

No more so than an administration crying  "unfair" and demonizing a highly-rated mainstream TV network.  No more so than the White House crying "un-American" whenever they are criticized.  No more so than attempting to fine-tune the First Amendment.

In real world America it is the right that needs a Fairness Doctrine.

"Hey Martha, I think he gets it."

 from eddobloggo.com

The following is an Obama-on-Obamacare media blitz quote excerpted from today's ABC TV interview:
AP photo at Obamacare rally with.

"Now there are some who are, setting aside the issue of race, more passionate about the idea of whether government can do anything right, and I think that that's probably the biggest driver of some of the vitriol."

Reading a statement like this, I can hear fellow Conservatives and allied libertarians and independents saying things like "Who didn't know that?" and "You're preaching to the choir, Mr. President" and "Hey Martha, I think he finally gets it."

But then there's that word "vitriol" right at the end of his carefully-prepared, well rehearsed talking point.

So as the opposition to Obamacare is suddenly absolved of the outright hatred of which we had previously been accused (such labels as nazis, racists, right-wing extremists, brown shirts and the Lunatic Christian Right  Fringe to name a few of the applied epithets), this long-awaited acknowledgment that our criticisms are not founded in personal or racial animosity may seem refreshing to some.

That, of course, is the desired effect.  Obama wants you to come over to his side as a result of this validation that it's only your disenchantment with government and your disbelief in its ability to properly execute even the simplest of programs.  That's all that has you riled up about his efforts to establish a huge multi-tiered bureaucracy of big government-run health care that will eventually morph into socialized medicine once privateers opt out of the program.

He wants you to stop being so riled up and vitriolic.  He wants you to believe that because you know that he knows what really drives your opposition, he will be so careful not to allow your worst fears to become reality.

I can hear the gullible saying things like "We can chill out now" and "We can cut Obama some slack" and "Hey Martha, I think he finally gets it."

But what they would be forgetting is that they never heard the president play the race card or label them with hate-filled terms in the first place.  They never heard the president hurl epithets or bring his opposition's religious beliefs into the argument.

Even when called a liar in front of all of his partisans, Obama graciously accepted Rep. Wilson's apology.  Despite the color of his own skin, the president continues to go out of his way to distance himself from those like Jimmy Carter and Bill Cosby who have used the R-word so egregiously since he emerged on the American scene.

All along it has been the administration's shills, led by Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer and Howard Dean, who have hate-mongered and fear-mongered against the right's coalition of opposition to the president's health care initiative.

It has been ultra-libs and outright socialists who have tried to counter the groundswell of opposition to Obamacare and smear those in the non-traditional media who have spearheaded the largest American protest movement since those aforementioned shills took to flashing peace signs at everyone they knew on and off-campus.

At the same time, they have also chided the president for not being socialistic enough and for appearing willing to compromise with Conservatives in order to insure passage of at least a watered-down version of his bill.

What you didn't hear during today's media blitz was an acknowledgment that the left's belief that only government can do anything right is the biggest driver of their vitriol and their intense hate for anyone who chooses to believe otherwise -- including the president himself, at times.

Thankfully, I can hear Martha saying "Hey George, if you believe that media blitz stuff you heard on the news today you'll also believe that Obamacare won't add one dime to our deficits."

Obama is so last year

from eddobloggo.com

It's only because a fairly large segment of the population still possesses what used to be called an "attention span" that it took this long for the most overexposed, media-hyped, faux orator of all times to become boooooooor-ing.  Sadly, It might have taken Professor Knowitall even longer had his administration not messed up everything it touched in the interim and had he not hogged every foreign and domestic lens and microphone in sight.

With the onset of boredom and backlash has come the most rapid decline in popularity in presidential history, with the exception of those few who arrived in the White House via succession or without a majority of the popular vote.  This is particularly telling since his term began with a surplus of popularity treasure on which to build.

Now, having bored and annoyed even the most patient taxpayers, Barack Obama will turn to an even fickler audience -- fidgety school kids thrust into ADD by techno-toys and media techniques designed to grab their visual/mental attention at warp speed.

Sure, kids all know him by name and most think he's the "gr8st prz evr".  But like Hanna and Raven, this dude keeps getting older every day.  Each time he's on TV they reverse roles with their parents, asking mom and dad: "Haven't you guys seen this episode of The Obama Hour before?"

No longer do they ask mommy if the Obama t-shirt is clean enough to wear to school today.  That was a kid's lifetime ago; last summer's fad.  Styles change just as quickly as the government and political landscape do in Obama time.

While many of the growing number of adult non-supporters are bristling over The Obama Hour's Big Brother-esque devolution from prime time to school time, it appears more likely that yet another over-exposure backfire may be about to unfold.  Is it realistic to believe that school kids are the demographic that will turn the others back around?

After Obama tells them an empathize-able story about his own education-loving children and those happy, post-homework ice cream reward moments he shares with them, the rest of the hour will seem like an eternity to back-to-schoolers.  Doesn't every hour in class feel like an eternity to most kids?

Even if he takes his suit coat off and rolls up his sleeves, he'll still be just an old guy droning on about the same boring stuff that parents and teachers talk about all the time.  Just wait until the speech is finally over and they are told that they have to write out a list of questions and suggestions as a homework assignment suggested by the teacher-in-chief himself.

So bring him on and let him get on your kids nerves before the 2010 elections.  Make sure they're properly de-briefed and take them out for an ice cream treat as a reward for putting up with an extremely boring day at school.

  • Help them to create those homework questions by questioning their motivation for asking them.
  • Help them to create those homework suggestions by suggesting what has become important to families since he became president.
  • Ask them how they really feel, not how they think they should feel to make their teachers -- including Professor Knowitall -- happy with their answers.

No more turf wars?

from eddobloggo.com

The anniversary of Hurricane Katrina's devastation presents an opportunity for "renewal" to Barack Obama.  It serves as a reminder that multiple states, the federal government and all of their participating agencies must always work together for the common good.

"No more turf wars," is the official Obamaspeak from yesterday's weekly radio address.  That means putting an end to the inter-agency rivalries and disconnects that could prevent the rapid deployment of emergency services during a post-Katrina disaster.  Obama's further implication is that we should learn from the mistakes made four years ago and avoid repeating them.

"Whole neighborhoods of a great American city were left in ruins...and many Americans questioned whether government could fulfill its responsibility to respond in a crisis."   For a change, that doesn't sound like the usual Saturday morning political rhetoric and Obamacare propaganda.

You can always be certain that the president will put our money where his mouth is if given the chance.  However, there might actually be bi-partisan support for such a spending plan, if prudently constructed.  There is no arguing that a continued pre-8/29/05 mentality could lead to an even bigger episode of death and destruction during the next disaster.

Speaking of great American urban neighborhoods being left in ruins, another disaster anniversary is just around the corner.

In light of yesterday's speechlet about renewing prevention efforts and eliminating inter-agency turf wars you might assume that the president would take the same proactive approach to an equally important effort -- protecting the nation from another 9/11. Instead, the forthcoming anniversary of America's darkest day has been Obamaspoken into a National Day of Service and Remembrance

Not a word about renewing and redoubling our defense efforts.  Not a word of warning about the dangerous results of ignoring terrorism (the T-word, of course, was written out of the liberal lexicon months ago).  Not even a hint at the desire to unify every intelligence agency and armed force to insure that each of them is on precisely the same page in preventing a Category 5 terror storm.

Meanwhile, speaking of inter-agency turf wars, the ever more terrorist-protective Attorney General [in the words of Richard Cheney] is "out there threatening to disbar the lawyers who gave us the legal opinions [that legitimized aggressive interrogation of 9/11 plotters and their comrades] threatening, contrary to what the president originally said, that they're going to go out and investigate the CIA personnel who carried out those investigations."

This to the chagrin of the CIA Director, Leon Panetta, who himself has never been accused of being a neocon let alone a torturer.

In fact, Leon Panetta and Eric Holder worked for the same boss once before.  That was within the last administration with a pre-9/11 mentality.  Fortunately, at least one of these Clintonistas appears to have learned a lesson or two about keeping America safe since then.

"We had a track record of eight years defending the nation against any further mass casualty attacks from Al Qaeda," Cheney added during a Fox News interview with Chris Wallace aired this morning. "The approach of the Obama administration should be to come to those people who were involved in that policy and say, 'How did you do it? What were the keys to keeping this country safe over that period of time?'"  Don't hold your breath.

Be prepared, Mr. Vice-President, for the Category 5 that is heading your way and for the devastation to our nation that it will leave in its wake.
